Here at Recanto we take good care of everything so you don’t miss out anything. All you have to do is to arrive, park your car and switch off from the world, so you can enter ours.
We have a private parking where you can park effortlessly and, if you want, just think about your car again when you leave. Off course you can also go and return as many times as you want, taking your time.
Built from scratch but respecting local materials, we have a barbecue space totally equipped, where you can grill your meat, fish and vegetables, share family stories or simply be.
Our swimming pool is open from June to September. It is set in the leisure zone, surrounded by trees and herbs, so you can really immerse yourself in the middle of nature. There is a wooden deck around it with chairs, a table and mattresses, where you can enjoy the landscape and the sunshine. You can also get plenty of shade if you prefer.
Even though they are part of the family, it is not always easy to take our furry friends with us on holidays. Here we accept dogs, cats, birds and rabbits. Actually we take all pet, as long as health and safety rules are respected.
At Recanto D’Aldeia you have two small schist houses:
Casa das Colmeias ( The Hive House) and Casa do Burro (The Donkey House).
This building used to be an out building, where the former owners and local farmers produced honey. To honour that history we have kept the original honeycomb as a decoration. It’s the smallest house, ideal for a couple or two friends.
Originally a stable where cows and sheep would sleep, called an arramada, it was split into two parts: a manger and a zone for the animals. We’ve adapted it into a beautiful home, wich can accommodate up to four people, with a sofa-bed in the living room. It is ideal for families or a group of friends.
